Everyday Faith
At our school, we believe that parents are the first examples of faith for their children, and that our school should be an extension of the Christian home. Believing this, here at St. Wendelin’s Catholic School, we will assist parents in teaching Christian values, Catholic doctrine, and concerns for peace and justice.
In Everything We Do
Faith isn’t something that we do, it’s who we are. We are lead by Jesus’ example, and do our best to follow in His footsteps.
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35
Mass
At St. Wendelin, we celebrate the Eucharist!
We celebrate Mass weekly. By classroom, students take turns planning and participating in the liturgies.
Reconciliation
Absolution of sins can be so refreshing and powerful! Our students take part in the Sacrament of Reconciliation twice per school year.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
CGS is a common religious experience involving children and adults in which the religious values of childhood, primarily those values of contemplation and enjoyment of God, are predominant.
This experience is shared within St. Wendelin’s Catholic School, a place particularly prepared for the religious life of children.
Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer, and we talk to God like we’d talk to our best friend. We begin each day with prayer, have prayer boards in our hallways for special intentions, and pray the rosary throughout the year. We pray because God promises He hears our prayers.
